Mera Shrine
Once upon a time, Princess Iwanaga threw a mirror at her, lamenting her ugliness, and using the mirror as a guide, she found her way to a stream in Yoneyoshi, where she grew rice and lived. She was so delighted that she called the area "Yoneyoshi, Yoneyoshi," and this is how the name "Mera(meaning Yoneyoshi)" came to be used in Japanese. However, he became ill and threw himself into the Ogawa River, where he died.
Taking pity on the villagers, they built "Ichinomiya Shrine" and later renamed it "Mera Shrine.
